# TextTV vs eSvD

The clearest difference is price: eSvD at Free against TextTV's $0.99. eSvD also leads on rating (4.7 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (115 vs 1). TextTV's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (33% vs 13%). On update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

eSvD is free to download; TextTV costs $0.99 up front. eSvD sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. TextTV asks for nothing beyond the download.

eSvD holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: eSvD has 115 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 33% of TextTV's written reviews are positive against 13% of eSvD's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TextTV ships an update every 3 weeks, eSvD monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
