# Flux Player vs Renner

The clearest difference is rating: Renner at 4.8 against Flux Player's 1.8. Flux Player's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 14 months) and review sentiment (22% vs 0%). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Renner holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 45 and 17 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Flux Player's written reviews are positive against 0% of Renner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flux Player ships an update every 2 months, Renner every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
