# Flux Player vs Active ·

The clearest difference is rating: Active · at 4.2 against Flux Player's 1.8. Flux Player's advantage is review sentiment (22% vs 0%) and ratings volume (45 vs 6). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Active · holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flux Player has 45 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of Flux Player's written reviews are positive against 0% of Active ·'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flux Player ships an update every 2 months, Active · every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
