# Official Comic vs PAX Nav

The clearest difference is rating: Official Comic at 3.1 against PAX Nav's 2.8. Official Comic also leads on ratings volume (459 vs 62) and device support (4 vs 1). PAX Nav's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (28% vs 18%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Official Comic holds the better App Store score, 3.1 against 2.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Official Comic has 459 ratings behind it against 62, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of Official Comic's written reviews are positive against 28% of PAX Nav's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Official Comic ships an update every 3 months, PAX Nav every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
