# Official Comic vs Saga

The clearest difference is rating: Saga at 5.0 against Official Comic's 3.1. Saga also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Official Comic's advantage is ratings volume (459 vs 3) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Saga holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Official Comic has 459 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Official Comic ships an update every 3 months, Saga every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
