# Official Comic vs Comic Geeks

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Comic Geeks at 77% against Official Comic's 18%. Comic Geeks also leads on rating (4.9 vs 3.1) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). Official Comic's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 14.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Comic Geeks holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Comic Geeks has 4.4K ratings behind it against 459, so its average is the more settled of the two.
