# CHMate+ vs GHP Reader

The clearest difference is price: GHP Reader at Free against CHMate+'s $9.99. GHP Reader also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 26.0). CHMate+'s advantage is rating (3.8 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

GHP Reader is free to download; CHMate+ costs $9.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

CHMate+ holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CHMate+ has 8 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

CHMate+ ships an update every 2 weeks, GHP Reader every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
