# LastPass Password Manager vs We

The clearest difference is rating: LastPass Password Manager at 4.4 against We's 3.7. LastPass Password Manager also leads on ratings volume (57K vs 3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). We's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and review sentiment (67% vs 40%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LastPass Password Manager sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $35.99 per year. We asks for nothing beyond the download.

LastPass Password Manager holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LastPass Password Manager has 57K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of LastPass Password Manager's written reviews are positive against 67% of We's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

LastPass Password Manager ships an update fortnightly, We every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
