# LastPass Password Manager vs Password Manager & Generator

LastPass Password Manager and Password Manager & Generator both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 82% of Password Manager & Generator's written reviews are positive against 40% of LastPass Password Manager's. Password Manager & Generator also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). LastPass Password Manager's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ratings volume (57K vs 1.4K). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LastPass Password Manager sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $35.99 per year and Password Manager & Generator sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for LastPass Password Manager against 4.5 for Password Manager & Generator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LastPass Password Manager has 57K ratings behind it against 1.4K, so its average is the more settled of the two.
