# LastPass Password Manager vs PSWD

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PSWD at 97% against LastPass Password Manager's 40%. PSWD also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.4). LastPass Password Manager's advantage is ratings volume (57K vs 154) and chart position (#81 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LastPass Password Manager sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $35.99 per year and PSWD sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PSWD holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LastPass Password Manager has 57K ratings behind it against 154, so its average is the more settled of the two. LastPass Password Manager ships an update fortnightly, PSWD monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
