# LastPass Password Manager vs Password Manager

The clearest difference is rating: Password Manager at 5.0 against LastPass Password Manager's 4.4. Password Manager also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). LastPass Password Manager's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 months) and ratings volume (57K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LastPass Password Manager sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $35.99 per year and Password Manager sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Password Manager holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LastPass Password Manager has 57K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

LastPass Password Manager ships an update fortnightly, Password Manager every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
