# WREG vs Jackson Sun

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WREG at none against Jackson Sun's 4. WREG also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (1.4K vs 221). Jackson Sun's advantage is review sentiment (42% vs 31%). On price, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Jackson Sun sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. WREG asks for nothing beyond the download.

WREG holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WREG has 1.4K ratings behind it against 221, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of WREG's written reviews are positive against 42% of Jackson Sun's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WREG ships an update every 6 weeks, Jackson Sun monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
