# BeatTheBug vs Brave Ghost

The clearest difference is rating: Brave Ghost at 4.4 against BeatTheBug's 2.0. Brave Ghost also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 209 months) and ratings volume (214 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BeatTheBug sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Brave Ghost sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Brave Ghost holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Brave Ghost has 214 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

BeatTheBug ships an update every 209 months, Brave Ghost every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
