# iformula vs Math Interactive

The clearest difference is rating: Math Interactive at 4.6 against iformula's 4.0. Math Interactive also leads on ratings volume (726 vs 1) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.6). iformula's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 13 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Math Interactive sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. iformula asks for nothing beyond the download.

Math Interactive holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Math Interactive has 726 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of iformula's written reviews are positive against 58% of Math Interactive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iformula ships an update every 2 months, Math Interactive every 13 months. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
