# LinkedWord Thesaurus vs Pocket Thesaurus

The clearest difference is ads: LinkedWord Thesaurus at none against Pocket Thesaurus's shown. Pocket Thesaurus's advantage is review sentiment (62% vs 50%) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LinkedWord Thesaurus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Pocket Thesaurus sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

LinkedWord Thesaurus ships an update monthly, Pocket Thesaurus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
