# Rocket Golf vs Golf Rival

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Rocket Golf at 87% against Golf Rival's 38%. Rocket Golf also leads on ads (none vs shown). Golf Rival's advantage is price (Free vs $2.99) and rating (4.5 vs 2.7). On in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Golf Rival is free to download; Rocket Golf costs $2.99 up front. Rocket Golf sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Golf Rival sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Golf Rival holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf Rival has 155K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 87% of Rocket Golf's written reviews are positive against 38% of Golf Rival's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Rocket Golf ships an update every 5 months, Golf Rival every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
