# Mad Libs vs Quiver

The clearest difference is rating: Mad Libs at 4.1 against Quiver's 3.6. Mad Libs also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 258) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 15.0). Quiver's advantage is update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mad Libs sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Quiver sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Mad Libs holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mad Libs has 2.9K ratings behind it against 258, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 57% of Mad Libs's written reviews are positive against 50% of Quiver's.

Mad Libs ships an update every 4 months, Quiver every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
