# cursive vs SewBuddy

The clearest difference is price: SewBuddy at Free against cursive's $0.99. SewBuddy also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 21 months) and ratings volume (349 vs 3). cursive's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.3) and in-app purchases (none vs 2). On review sentiment, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

SewBuddy is free to download; cursive costs $0.99 up front. SewBuddy sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. cursive asks for nothing beyond the download.

cursive holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SewBuddy has 349 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of cursive's written reviews are positive against 32% of SewBuddy's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
