# DISH Anywhere vs Discover Cox

The clearest difference is rating: DISH Anywhere at 4.6 against Discover Cox's 3.0. DISH Anywhere also leads on ratings volume (265K vs 2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Discover Cox's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DISH Anywhere holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DISH Anywhere has 265K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DISH Anywhere ships an update every 2 weeks, Discover Cox monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
