# WideScreen Pro vs SpectraMania

The clearest difference is rating: WideScreen Pro at 5.0 against SpectraMania's 4.0. WideScreen Pro also leads on price ($5.99 vs $7.99) and iOS requirement (9.1 vs 16.0). SpectraMania's advantage is review sentiment (75% vs 50%) and ratings volume (4 vs 1). On update cadence, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

WideScreen Pro costs $5.99 and SpectraMania $7.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WideScreen Pro holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of WideScreen Pro's written reviews are positive against 75% of SpectraMania's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
