# Hangman・ vs Ultimate Hangman Go

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Hangman・ at none against Ultimate Hangman Go's 1. Hangman・ also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (22K vs 234). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Hangman Go sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Hangman・ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Hangman・ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hangman・ has 22K ratings behind it against 234, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 79% of Hangman・'s written reviews are positive against 80% of Ultimate Hangman Go's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Hangman・ ships an update every 3 months, Ultimate Hangman Go every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
