# Astrology Plus vs Eclipse

The clearest difference is monetization model: Astrology Plus at free with in-app purchases against Eclipse's subscription. Astrology Plus also leads on ratings volume (6.6K vs 243). Eclipse's advantage is review sentiment (93% vs 58%) and update cadence (every 10 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Astrology Plus sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Eclipse sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $7.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Astrology Plus against 4.8 for Eclipse. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Astrology Plus has 6.6K ratings behind it against 243, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 58% of Astrology Plus's written reviews are positive against 93% of Eclipse's.

Astrology Plus ships an update monthly, Eclipse every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
