# Timestamp It vs Timestamp Camera by SnapProof

The clearest difference is rating: Timestamp It at 4.7 against Timestamp Camera by SnapProof's 4.1. Timestamp It also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (5.5K vs 9). Timestamp Camera by SnapProof's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 44%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Timestamp It sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Timestamp Camera by SnapProof sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Timestamp It holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Timestamp It has 5.5K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of Timestamp It's written reviews are positive against 80% of Timestamp Camera by SnapProof's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timestamp It ships an update every 3 days, Timestamp Camera by SnapProof every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
