# Flickr vs YouPic

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flickr at 70% against YouPic's 21%. Flickr also leads on rating (4.5 vs 1.2) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flickr sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $11.00 per month and YouPic sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flickr holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 1.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flickr has 15K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of Flickr's written reviews are positive against 21% of YouPic's.

Flickr ships an update every 2 weeks, YouPic every 2 months. Both last shipped on October 16, 2026.
