# EyeTV vs AR Clip

The clearest difference is price: AR Clip at Free against EyeTV's $4.99. AR Clip also leads on rating (5.0 vs 1.7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). EyeTV's advantage is ratings volume (22 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.4 vs 16.0). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

AR Clip is free to download; EyeTV costs $4.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

AR Clip holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: EyeTV has 22 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

EyeTV ships an update every 3 months, AR Clip every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
