# FlashToPass vs Ahaaa Math

The clearest difference is monetization model: FlashToPass at free with in-app purchases against Ahaaa Math's subscription. FlashToPass also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (923 vs 99). Ahaaa Math's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FlashToPass sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per year and Ahaaa Math sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for FlashToPass against 4.3 for Ahaaa Math. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FlashToPass has 923 ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of FlashToPass's written reviews are positive against 72% of Ahaaa Math's.

FlashToPass ships an update every 4 months, Ahaaa Math every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
