# Camera Plus vs SayCheese

The clearest difference is price: SayCheese at Free against Camera Plus's $2.99. SayCheese also leads on rating (4.4 vs 3.0) and update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly). Camera Plus's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (51% vs 20%). On in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

SayCheese is free to download; Camera Plus costs $2.99 up front. Camera Plus sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and SayCheese sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SayCheese holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Camera Plus has 138 ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Camera Plus's written reviews are positive against 20% of SayCheese's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Camera Plus ships an update monthly, SayCheese every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
