# Locked vs Scriver

The clearest difference is rating: Scriver at 4.7 against Locked's 3.5. Scriver also leads on ratings volume (49 vs 2) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Locked costs $1.99 and Scriver $1.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Scriver holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scriver has 49 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Locked ships an update every 3 weeks, Scriver every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
