# Concordance vs Accordance Bible Software

The clearest difference is rating: Accordance Bible Software at 4.8 against Concordance's 4.1. Accordance Bible Software also leads on ratings volume (13K vs 133) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.1). Concordance's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 10). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Accordance Bible Software sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Concordance asks for nothing beyond the download.

Accordance Bible Software holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Accordance Bible Software has 13K ratings behind it against 133, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Concordance's written reviews are positive against 76% of Accordance Bible Software's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Concordance ships an update every 6 weeks, Accordance Bible Software every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
