# Time Timer vs Checkie!

The clearest difference is rating: Time Timer at 4.6 against Checkie!'s 4.1. Time Timer also leads on ratings volume (15K vs 8). Checkie!'s advantage is review sentiment (79% vs 63%) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 16.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Timer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.95 per year and Checkie! sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Timer has 15K ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Time Timer's written reviews are positive against 79% of Checkie!'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
