# Time Timer vs WiTransition

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: WiTransition at none against Time Timer's 1. WiTransition also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). Time Timer's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 64 months) and ratings volume (15K vs 2). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Timer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.95 per year. WiTransition asks for nothing beyond the download.

WiTransition holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Timer has 15K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Time Timer ships an update every 2 weeks, WiTransition every 64 months. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 24, 2026 respectively.
