# Time Timer vs Wedge

The clearest difference is rating: Wedge at 5.0 against Time Timer's 4.6. Wedge also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 weeks). Time Timer's advantage is ratings volume (15K vs 1) and device support (4 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Timer sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $9.95 per year and Wedge sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wedge holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Timer has 15K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Time Timer ships an update every 2 weeks, Wedge every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
