# Bible App vs Scriptur

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Bible App at 323K against Scriptur's 5. Bible App also leads on chart position (#141 vs unranked). Scriptur's advantage is iOS requirement (15.1 vs 17.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Bible App sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Scriptur sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Bible App against 4.8 for Scriptur. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bible App has 323K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 94% of Bible App's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scriptur's.

Bible App ships an update fortnightly, Scriptur monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
