# Matrix Music Pad vs LK

The clearest difference is rating: LK at 4.3 against Matrix Music Pad's 3.5. LK also leads on ratings volume (708 vs 64) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Matrix Music Pad's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. LK sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Matrix Music Pad asks for nothing beyond the download.

LK holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: LK has 708 ratings behind it against 64, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of Matrix Music Pad's written reviews are positive against 64% of LK's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Matrix Music Pad ships an update every 5 weeks, LK fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
