# ForeFlight Mobile EFB vs UAV Forecast

ForeFlight Mobile EFB and UAV Forecast both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 68% of ForeFlight Mobile EFB's written reviews are positive against 33% of UAV Forecast's. UAV Forecast's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForeFlight Mobile EFB sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and UAV Forecast sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

UAV Forecast holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 3.3K and 3.5K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of ForeFlight Mobile EFB's written reviews are positive against 33% of UAV Forecast's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ForeFlight Mobile EFB ships an update every 2 weeks, UAV Forecast every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
