# ForeFlight Mobile EFB vs Cloud Identifier

The clearest difference is rating: Cloud Identifier at 5.0 against ForeFlight Mobile EFB's 4.4. Cloud Identifier also leads on iOS requirement (16.6 vs 18.0). ForeFlight Mobile EFB's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (3.3K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ForeFlight Mobile EFB sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Cloud Identifier sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Cloud Identifier holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ForeFlight Mobile EFB has 3.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

ForeFlight Mobile EFB ships an update every 2 weeks, Cloud Identifier every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
