# Ben's Virtues vs Smart911

The clearest difference is rating: Smart911 at 4.7 against Ben's Virtues's 4.3. Smart911 also leads on ratings volume (6.6K vs 35). Ben's Virtues's advantage is review sentiment (60% vs 37%) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smart911 holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Smart911 has 6.6K ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Ben's Virtues's written reviews are positive against 37% of Smart911's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Ben's Virtues ships an update every 4 weeks, Smart911 every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
