# Viper SmartStart vs PRO RGB

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Viper SmartStart at 62% against PRO RGB's 13%. Viper SmartStart also leads on rating (4.6 vs 2.0) and ratings volume (8.2K vs 23). PRO RGB's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Viper SmartStart holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Viper SmartStart has 8.2K ratings behind it against 23, so its average is the more settled of the two.
