# QuickReader Lite vs Gutenberg Reader + Many Books

The clearest difference is ads: QuickReader Lite at none against Gutenberg Reader + Many Books's shown. QuickReader Lite also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). Gutenberg Reader + Many Books's advantage is ratings volume (119 vs 10) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

QuickReader Lite holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gutenberg Reader + Many Books has 119 ratings behind it against 10, so its average is the more settled of the two.
