# Scanner Pro vs PDF Maker

The clearest difference is ads: Scanner Pro at none against PDF Maker's shown. Scanner Pro also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 months) and ratings volume (338K vs 85). PDF Maker's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scanner Pro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and PDF Maker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scanner Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7.
