# Scanner Pro vs Scanner App

The clearest difference is ads: Scanner Pro at none against Scanner App's shown. Scanner Pro also leads on ratings volume (338K vs 200) and chart position (#23 vs unranked). Scanner App's advantage is iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scanner Pro sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Scanner App sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Scanner Pro against 4.7 for Scanner App. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scanner Pro has 338K ratings behind it against 200, so its average is the more settled of the two.
