# Scanner Pro vs Fast Scanner

The clearest difference is ads: Scanner Pro at none against Fast Scanner's shown. Scanner Pro also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (338K vs 6.2K). Fast Scanner's advantage is review sentiment (91% vs 78%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scanner Pro sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Fast Scanner sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Scanner Pro against 4.8 for Fast Scanner. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scanner Pro has 338K ratings behind it against 6.2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 78% of Scanner Pro's written reviews are positive against 91% of Fast Scanner's.

Scanner Pro ships an update fortnightly, Fast Scanner every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
