# 南方周末 vs 南都N视频

The clearest difference is rating: 南都N视频 at 4.5 against 南方周末's 2.5. 南都N视频 also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 南方周末 sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and 南都N视频 sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

南都N视频 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 32 and 88 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of 南方周末's written reviews are positive against 71% of 南都N视频's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
