# WHNT vs TimesDaily

WHNT and TimesDaily both sit at 4.7 stars, but that hides the real split: 94% of TimesDaily's written reviews are positive against 56% of WHNT's. WHNT's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (1.1K vs 99). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for WHNT against 4.6 for TimesDaily. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WHNT has 1.1K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of WHNT's written reviews are positive against 94% of TimesDaily's.

WHNT ships an update every 5 weeks, TimesDaily every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
