# @Thermometer vs Celsius Thermometer Plus

The clearest difference is review sentiment: @Thermometer at 75% against Celsius Thermometer Plus's 38%. @Thermometer also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 7 months) and chart position (#194 vs unranked). Celsius Thermometer Plus's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5) and monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. @Thermometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Celsius Thermometer Plus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Celsius Thermometer Plus holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 224 and 54 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of @Thermometer's written reviews are positive against 38% of Celsius Thermometer Plus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

@Thermometer ships an update every 6 weeks, Celsius Thermometer Plus every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
