# @Thermometer vs The Thermometer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: @Thermometer at 75% against The Thermometer's 54%. The Thermometer's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. @Thermometer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and The Thermometer sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Thermometer holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 224 and 593 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of @Thermometer's written reviews are positive against 54% of The Thermometer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 17, 2026.
