# Victory Shield vs GVBC

The clearest difference is rating: GVBC at 5.0 against Victory Shield's 4.3. GVBC also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 8) and iOS requirement (12.2 vs 17.0). Victory Shield's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 59 months) and ratings volume (60K vs 6). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Victory Shield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. GVBC asks for nothing beyond the download.

GVBC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Victory Shield has 60K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Victory Shield ships an update every 5 weeks, GVBC every 59 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
