# Victory Shield vs Clepsydris

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Clepsydris at 80% against Victory Shield's 27%. Clepsydris also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.3) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 5 weeks). Victory Shield's advantage is ratings volume (60K vs 20) and chart position (#46 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Victory Shield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Clepsydris sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Clepsydris holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Victory Shield has 60K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of Victory Shield's written reviews are positive against 80% of Clepsydris's.

Victory Shield ships an update every 5 weeks, Clepsydris fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
