# Victory Shield vs Where Have I Been

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Victory Shield at 60K against Where Have I Been's 2. Victory Shield also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and chart position (#43 vs unranked). Where Have I Been's advantage is review sentiment (47% vs 27%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Victory Shield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Where Have I Been sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Victory Shield holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Victory Shield has 60K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 27% of Victory Shield's written reviews are positive against 47% of Where Have I Been's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Victory Shield ships an update every 5 weeks, Where Have I Been every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
