# Victory Shield vs Smoothcomp

The clearest difference is rating: Victory Shield at 4.3 against Smoothcomp's 3.0. Victory Shield also leads on ratings volume (59K vs 32) and chart position (#38 vs unranked). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Victory Shield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Smoothcomp sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Victory Shield holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Victory Shield has 59K ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 28% and 28% positive.

Victory Shield ships an update every 5 weeks, Smoothcomp every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
